big_kev Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 The best one I have found is the talking one counts down from 2.5m to 0.3m, best if you can get the american one that goes from 8ft down to 1ft. I have one of these fitted and it is excellent, so far I have avoided backing over 3 toddlers in car parks as there idiot parents let them walk behind my car with big bright reversing lights shining at them. Cant recommend these highly enough. Never figured out how the display ones work. They seem too small a display to mount on the rear window and obviously if you put them at the front of the car you are looking in the opposite direction to the way you are travelling, not a good idea ! Buy the talking ones the others are rubbish. Quote
big_kev Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 This is the warning at 1 metre's distance. This is at 0.6m/ 2ft ( younger viewers may have to seek advise on what an ft is ? ). 1metre.mp3 0.6m.mp3 Quote

big_kev Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 This is the site detailing information on the model I have. http://www.car-reversing-systems.co.uk/ ( please note I am in no way connected with them, just have one of their products, mine actually came from ebay ). Also at this sound it is advisable to stop reversing... crash.mp3 Quote
